The wealthy and debonair Don Diego return home, in the Mission era of Spanish California, to the pueblo known as Reina de Los Angeles. There he finds that the lives and freedom of the citizens are constantly threatened by an oppressive military tyrant, Captain Monastario and his Lancers. Diego makes it his mission to put an end to the oppression along the King's Highway. He dons a mask and a cloak and becomes the fearless freedom rider known as Zorro
