Elimination Match WWE vs. The Alliance
The Rock, Chris Jericho, Big Show, Kane & Undertaker def. Stone Cold Steve
Austin, Kurt Angle, Shane McMahon, Booker T & Rob Van Dam
Sole Survivor: The Rock
This one was for all the marbles. Stephanie and Shane McMahon had formed The
Alliance to try and run their father and WWE out of business. But Mr. McMahon
was not going to go down without a fight, and this Survivor Series Match was
designed to end one of the companies once and for all. The Rock, Chris Jericho,
Big Show, Kane & Undertaker represented WWE and Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt
Angle, Shane, Booker T & Rob Van Dam represented The Alliance.
After both sides took turns on the offensive, a weakened Undertaker finally
made the tag to Big Show. Big Show went for the chokeslam on Angle, but the
Olympic Gold Medalist reversed it into the Angle Slam. A Booker T kick, an RVD
Five Star Frog Splash and a flying elbow from Shane later and Big Show was the
first elimination.
WWE s team bounced back when Chris Jericho was able to hit the Lion Sault
and get rid of Shane, but The Alliance came roaring back as RVD and Booker T
used good teamwork to eliminate Kane. Undertaker came in a house of fire, but
Stone Cold put that fire out with a Stunner to give The Alliance the 4-2
advantage, leaving only Jericho and The Rock on WWE s side.
The Rock staved off a Booker T attack and was able to roll him up for an
elimination narrowing the gap to 3-2. RVD and Jericho then went at it, but after
Van Dam missed a moonsault, Jericho was able to capitalize and eliminated Mr.
Monday Night evening the sides at 2-2. Stone Cold and Angle then utilized crisp
tags and double team maneuvers to work over Jericho, but Y2J was able to make
the tag to The Rock. The Great One was able to trap Angle in the Sharpshooter,
forcing him to tap out leaving Stone Cold to fend for himself. Stone cold was
able to reverse a Jericho rollup into one of his own, though, making it a
one-on-one situation. It was only fitting that a match of this magnitude came
down to Stone Cold and The Rock.
Before Jericho left the ring, though, he turned on The Rock and left him
laying in the ring for Austin. The Rock was able to hit a Stunner, but Stone
Cold came back with a Rock Bottom in an ironic turn of events. Stone Cold was
able to hit a Stunner of his own, but the referee was knocked down so there was
no count. With that, Kurt Angle came back to the ring and turned on The
Alliance, showing his true allegiance to WWE and nailed Stone Cold. The pin was
academic for The Rock, and The Alliance was disbanded forever.
