The closing moments of the Royal Rumble (1999) saw McMahon and Austin in the ring together with The WWF Champion, The Rock, coming to ringside and helping Vince throw Stone Cold over the toprope and winning the 30-man event. Mr. McMahon may have won the Rumble, but, we are just one month away from Wrestlemania 15 and he has got to do something to protect his 'Corporate Champion', The Rock, from both Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mick Foley!
So in the biggest moment on his career Mr. McMahon taunts The Texas Rattlesnake into putting his title shot at Wrestlemania on the line in a steel cage match, going into this horrific battle some "guarantees" are made by McMahon: 1) There shall be NO Corporate Interference 2) After the match is over the WWF will NEVER be the same again, and, 3) Austin has NO CHANCE IN HELL of going to Wrestlemania!
In true Rattlesnake fashion Austin makes a shocking guarantee... "there will be bloodshed and it ain't gonna be mine"!
